ITE Apprentice Lead and Professional Tutor
Rachel is an Outstanding primary teacher and school leader; she has held roles across the Early Years and Primary phases in a range of urban settings. In recent years, her speciality has been in leading the teaching and learning of English and Phonics and she has supported and coached teachers at all stages of their career in these areas.
Rachel has worked across a variety of education settings in London, the South East and internationally. Through these roles, she has developed a passion for supporting and developing teachers at the beginning of their education journey. Rachel has also completed a Master’s degree in Leadership in Education from the Institute of Education University College London, which included an ‘Excellence in Coaching’ qualification. This has influenced how Rachel supports student teachers through consistent and constructive feedback to ensure the best possible learning outcomes for both trainees and the pupils they teach.
Rachel enjoys mentoring and developing teachers new to the profession within school settings, promoting their strengths to ensure a positive impact in their schools.
