Miranda Ofori

ITE Business Manager

MirandaWhat does your role entail?

My role as ITE Business Manager entails me looking after the finances for the provision. I ensure that trainees are paid any scholarships or bursaries they are entitled to, while providing fee paying trainees payment options for their part-time and full-time courses. I work very closely with the fabulous administration, tutor and senior leadership team to make sure that this happens.

What are your credentials/experience to your current position?

I have a background both in Business & Marketing / Adult Health and Social Care, so I was experienced in working with adults. I had also worked for the Harris Teaching School as it was then known at both Head Office and Harris City Academy Crystal Palace - which gave me the insight into the world of Education and CPD. Whilst there, I was able to gain experience from the management accountants which propelled me into my current job.

What is the highlight of your role?

The highlight of my job is seeing the journey of the trainees from the application stage, right until graduation. To see the immense growth during their training year gives us a great sense of pride. It also gives others the confidence to apply for the programme, when they see the diverse cohort we attract year upon year.

My Favourite Books:

Book of Night Women – Marlon James

Small Island – Andrea Levy

A Million Little Pieces – James Frey
