What does your role entail? 

I am currently working as a member of the HITE Senior Leadership Team, leading the Primary Phase (acting).  I am also a tutor to both primary and secondary trainees.   

In my role, I oversee the Primary Phase and look after the primary trainees and support in the leadership of the ITE provision as a whole. In addition, I provide support for the trainees in my allocated schools.  

What are your credentials/experience to your current position? 

I have been working with Harris ITE since 2018.  Prior to working with Harris ITE, I was an English consultant working across the Federation. 

I have been teaching since 2001 and have held a range of roles in a number of challenging schools, including Head of Year, Head of Department and Director of Teaching and Learning, holding whole-school responsibilities including safeguarding, Teaching and Learning, Intervention and Pupil Premium student progress.  

I have a Master’s in Educational Leadership.  

What is the highlight of your role? 

The highlight of my current role is seeing the trainees’ progress throughout the year and seeing trainees developing into confident teachers.  Observing trainees in the classroom is also a highlight of my role as I enjoy seeing the impact our trainees have on children’s learning.
